Roam is a comprehensive vacation planning app designed to streamline the entire process. By offering a centralized platform for collaboration, itinerary building, and booking essential services, Roam aims to eliminate the stress associated with planning vacations. Our focus was on creating a user-friendly and intuitive app that empowers travelers to focus on creating memorable experiences.

To simplify the vacation planning experience, Roam integrated various essential features into a single platform. Users can collaborate with friends, build personalized itineraries, and book everything from flights to restaurants, eliminating the need for multiple tools. Our focus was on creating a seamless and efficient user journey.

Our vision was to transform vacation planning into a stress-free and enjoyable experience. We envisioned Roam as a trusted companion that empowers travelers to explore new destinations with confidence and ease. By providing a comprehensive and intuitive platform, we aimed to inspire adventure and create lasting memories.

A primary challenge was designing an app that could accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of travelers while maintaining a streamlined user experience. Ensuring seamless integration with external booking platforms and services presented additional technical challenges.
(PROBLEMS)
Existing vacation planning apps often suffer from information overload, complex interfaces, and limited collaboration features. Users frequently expressed frustration with the need to switch between multiple platforms to complete their planning tasks. Moreover, many apps lacked personalized recommendations and tailored itineraries.
(USER-CENTRIC DESIGN)
To address these challenges, we adopted a user-centric design approach. Through extensive user research, including interviews and surveys, we gained valuable insights into the needs and pain points of travelers. These insights informed our design decisions, ensuring that Roam met the specific requirements of our target audience.

Our users sought a vacation planning app that was intuitive, efficient, and collaborative. They valued features that allowed them to easily share itineraries with friends and family, personalize their plans based on individual preferences, and access real-time recommendations for accommodations, activities, and dining options. Additionally, they desired a platform that was reliable, secure, and offered excellent customer support.
