To simplify the vacation planning experience, Roam integrated various essential features into a single platform. Users can collaborate with friends, build personalized itineraries, and book everything from flights to restaurants, eliminating the need for multiple tools. Our focus was on creating a seamless and efficient user journey.
Our vision was to transform vacation planning into a stress-free and enjoyable experience. We envisioned Roam as a trusted companion that empowers travelers to explore new destinations with confidence and ease. We aimed to inspire adventure and create lasting memories by providing a comprehensive and intuitive platform.
A primary challenge was designing an app that could accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of travelers while maintaining a streamlined user experience. Ensuring seamless integration with external booking platforms and services presented additional technical challenges.
Existing vacation planning apps often suffer from information overload, complex interfaces, and limited collaboration features. Users frequently expressed frustration with the need to switch between multiple platforms to complete their planning tasks. Moreover, many apps lacked personalized recommendations and tailored itineraries.
Itineraries – Create customized schedules for each day of the trip, keeping activities and reservations organized.
Collaborative Trip Planning – Invite friends to plan trips together, ensuring everyone’s input is integrated into a cohesive itinerary.
Personal Calendar Integration – Sync travel plans with personal calendars, allowing users to view their travel and personal commitments in one place.
Interactive To-Do Lists – Manage packing, tasks, and trip essentials with easy-check-off lists, reducing stress.
Pre-Trip Checklist – Get reminders on key tasks to complete before departure, from packing to passport checks.
In-App Chat with Friends – Coordinate with friends within the app, streamlining communication for trip planning.
