(CHALLENGES)

One of the primary challenges was ensuring that the brand's visual identity accurately represented the diversity and complexity of type 4 hair. Additionally, creating a web design that was both aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly while catering to the specific needs of the target audience presented design challenges.

(PROBLEMS)

The market for hair care products specifically designed for type 4 hair is often limited, leaving individuals with limited options and potentially subpar products. Additionally, there is a lack of representation and celebration of type 4 hair in mainstream media and popular culture.

(USER-CENTRIC DESIGN)

A user-centric design approach was adopted throughout the project. By conducting research, interviews, and surveys with individuals with type 4 hair, the project gained valuable insights into their needs, preferences, and pain points. These insights informed the design of the brand's visual identity, website, and products.

(USER NEEDS)

The target audience for Shades of Four sought high-quality hair care products that were specifically designed for type 4 hair. They also desired a supportive community where they could connect with others who shared similar experiences and challenges. Additionally, they valued a brand that was inclusive, empowering, and reflective of their identity.
